A Comic I Made Last Year: How to Be

For a couple days last year I felt so inspired to make this comic.  It's made from water-soluble graphite sketches, which were xeroxed onto gray card stock and then painted with white gouache. It explores why I feel driven to draw and paint---something I think about every single day.

The title How to Be came from a dream I had.  I just busted this out as fast as possible... I did not overthink anything--the structure, the writing, the title, the drawing.  That's why I am proud of this comic.  I thought of it, I made it, and then I LET GO OF IT, and that is why it is considered "finished."
