I'm Cait Sherwood, a mixed-media painter who works into art journals.

I make art from the trash of the art I made before.

February 1-4, 2015

I've still been art journaling, but I am surprised to find that I have been writing about art journaling the past few days.  Like typing on a computer! For hours at a time.  It's weird and new and maybe it will turn into something.  Just letting it flow.

Here are some spreads that I consider "unfinished."

Stumbled upon this color palette, which I LOVE.  Cream, peach, buttery yellow, gray-black, white.

The above spread was fun, I used a pencil to draw into wet paint.

The following spread was all scribbling and pretty random, just playing with some pent up energy I had.  It took a lot for me to just let it be.  That's one cool thing about a journal though!  It's just some page in a book, it's easy to make something and just let it exist.
